“Psychle Map” is an exploration of trajecting the concept of ”experience” into a sculptural form – the possibility of sensing time and motion with touch. The route is the psychological map – a shortcut heading to my kid’s school we invented using the bicycle, instead of following the city map the government imposed. Each frame on motion transferred on layered acrylic sheets. The alignment of the plates follows the path of the track from the video, forming a 3-Dimensional design of the experiential space. Placing chronophotography as the fulcrum, the study emphasizes the role of photography as a continuum point between traditional art, technology, and space.

This project is part of the exhibit “[Re]”, a culmination activity on Advanced Photography course under the Master of Fine Arts program at the University of the Philippines. Exhibit runs from 3-10 May 2019 at Arts and Design West Wing Building, College of Fine Arts, University of the Philippines
