The term bitmap originates from the concept of a “map of bits,” where each bit encodes the color information of a pixel. In this project, bitmap takes on a more conceptual role, akin to chronophotography—a method used to study motion. Here, it represents the pixel-mapped traces of daily routines and habits within a household, specifically in the kitchen during breakfast. As family members move through this intimate, performative space, their presence is visualized through lingering imprints, capturing the ephemeral essence of their interactions.
